This is a video of my good friend Goran Valentin Extrication Den at the National Fire/Rescue School in Sweden. It has a full classroom facility plus the ability to hands on training inside or outside plus perform patient management in vehicles in a variety of positions. Plus there are an XC90 and S60 for vehicle technology demonstration plus a whole museum of vehicle technology items… What a fantastic place! Check it out rescuers!!

This short clip was of my presentation at FIVE on behalf of RoadwayRescue & Fire Engineering. It was on emergency response to fires involving Hybrids & Electric vehicles. However since most of the issues with these vehicle also apply to conventional drivetrain vehicles it was an overview of that as well. I kept it to 19 minutes, a minute shy of my max. length of 20 minutes and actually made the audience laugh 3 times, 3 more than any of the other speakers while still getting the importance across. From the commentary afterwards I believe it was a success.

1st of 3 clips from a Pro-Mod crash at Raceway Park where a Pro-Mod race car hit the wall at well over 200 MPH. Russ Hedge was our primary responder and ran a 14 minute fire extingushment and signficant extrication using our Holmatro rescue tools, Dewalt recip saws and MACAW backpack CAFS using Fire Ice Gel. Driver prognosis is excellent. We have had a long and positive working relationship with Raceway Park’s Emergency Services between training and assisting them at larger events. This incident showed the results of the fruits of such a relationship
