FIVE – Fires In Vehicles conference – September 29 – 30, 2010 in Gothenburg, SWEDEN. The objective is to exchange knowledge of fires in vehicles – both road and rail vehicles as many of the fire problems for these vehicles are the same and the solutions to them can also be similar.

FIVE will bring together scientists, regulators, test engineers, industry, suppliers, insurance companies and other organisations from the diverse field of transportation to discuss important fire issues. We believe that this exchange of knowledge will significantly enhance economic and safe solutions – sustainable solutions – to problems in the fire area.

FIVE will be a biannual event, the first conference of which will take place
September 29 – 30, 2010 in Gothenburg, SWEDEN. Gothenburg has been selected as the opening site for this event as it is the centre of the West Coast Region, the automotive science centre of Sweden.

The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) and the Alberta Vehicle Extrication Association (AVEA) are pleased to host the Transportation Emergency Rescue Committee (T.E.R.C.) sanctioned 26th Annual North American Vehicle Rescue Challenge at the Coast Plaza Hotel & Conference Center and the CFD Fire Training Academy in our great city.

The 7-day event is scheduled to occur September 19 – 25, 2010 including symposiums, trade show, and vehicle rescue challenge.
The 26th North American Vehicle Rescue Challenge.
